Bowel problems in children can occur for many different reasons. Some are related to a specific diagnosis, like Spina Bifida or Anorectal Malformation (neurogenic bowel dysfunction). Some are more diffuse and differ over time, like constipation or tummy cramps (functional bowel dysfunction).
