I still works at Wellspect HealthCare after 25 years, due to my great colleagues and my department. I am a curious person and always try to learn and develop myself. This has given me the opportunity to train and help my colleagues, which have been important motivators for me throughout the years.
When I started working at Wellspect HealthCare we were about 250 employees, but today we are almost 1 100 employees. The small company has become a global company, but still has maintained the friendly atmosphere.
My career started with an internship at the Quality department, which led to a summer job. In 1992 I began my career as a Quality Technician. At that time we were only three persons working at the Quality department including the manager. After four years I moved on to a role as Laboratory Engineer in R&D, where I still work as an Associate R&D Scientist. As our premises grew and we got to share the new laboratory with other departments I was asked to be responsible for the laboratory. This responsibility meant to coordinate and oversee that common routines for working at the lab and handling chemicals.
It was during my work with dangerous waste at the laboratory, where I came in contact with regulations for transport of dangerous goods by road. For me this was an interesting area where I was able to develop my competence. As a result of this I was appointed Safety Advisor for dangerous goods at the Mölndal site, both for Wellspect HealthCare and Dentsply Sirona Implants. Wellspect HealthCare has made it possible for me to keep developing and this has led me to, that today, I am also Safety Advisor for sea and air transports of dangerous goods.
My job is to make a difference and I do this by creating routines and train employees to maintain high safety. When chemicals are involved there are a large number of regulations that the company is obliged to follow. When it comes to transportation of dangerous goods my job is like an internal consultant, handling different questions that arise, to make sure we follow the regulations and work in a safe way.
