“During this Covid-19 crisis, Wellspect decided to contribute, and now we are supporting the healthcare in the region with surface disinfectant. It makes me really proud that we found a way to help out, even though it is not a part of our core business. For me, this confirms that Wellspect is a company I want to be a part of.”
She started her journey as an intern in the lab 28 years ago, now, our Wellspect veteran and R&D Scientist Annika Staaf is responsible for the lab and runs training on lab safety, routines and transport of dangerous goods.
“I have always been eager to learn and to be able to share that knowledge with others is a true motivation for me. At Wellspect you are encouraged to try new things, if you have the drive there are always possibilities, and that is a main reason why I’m still here.”
At the R&D department Annika and her colleagues develop new products and analyse the choice of chemicals and materials in detail – from both a user- and environmental perspective. She describes the workplace culture as warm and inclusive, permeated by freedom with responsibility and a good work life balance. In 2017 Annika became part of the Veteran Club, as she stepped into her 25th year working at Wellspect.
“Being part of the Veteran Club is really great. We have an annual dinner every November and this makes us feel really appreciated and valued by the company.”
