Since year 2010 I have worked at Wellspect HealthCare, where my career began as a SHE Engineer (Safety, Health & Environment). Recently I had the opportunity to take the next step on Quality Assurance career path and became an EHS Manager. In this role I support Dentsply Sirona’s business units in Molndal, Wellspect HealthCare and Dentsply Sirona Implants, within the environmental area.
A day at work can start with risk assessments of changes to our processes and handling of chemicals. In this role I always need to be alert and open to changes and able to make assessments whether a change has an impact on the environment, people’s health or safety. My day continues with meetings, contacts with environmental authorities and keeping up to date on legal requirements. I also participate in development, maintenance and improvements of processes related to environmental requirements. During the day there will also be sometime where I prepare presentations, write reports or provide training within EHS.
To be able to present solutions that bring us towards a sustainable business, and to be able to explain this so people will understand our aim and purpose of certain requirements is the essence of my day at work. It is a challenge, but it makes my day and work meaningful.
