Each year, the world’s oldest independent design organization, Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH, organizes the iF DESIGN AWARD.

  • 7298 entries from 46 countries were submitted to the 78-member jury, an assembly of independent experts from all over the world

  • The jury were won over by LoFric Elle, with its unique L-shaped handle providing a new, easy and more hygienic way for women to catheterize

The world’s first intermittent catheter with an L-shaped handle

LoFric Elle is designed to offer users a ready-to-use, hygienic, slim and discreet female intermittent catheter.

The unique ergonomic handle enables an upright body position and ultimate control during catheterization. The container becomes a handle when connected to the catheter. It's a new way to catheterize, making catheterization easy to learn and perform.

Wellspect doesn't just focus on designing for discretion, we offer smart and user-centric design that makes a real difference for both users and healthcare professionals. We always combine aesthetics with functionality.

Every patient is unique in one way or another. I think LoFric Elle meets the unique needs of every woman in a new way – it enables more women to perform IC for a range of body types, and with various hand function capacity.
